Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic

Richers Transport operates the company's head office in Maryborough, on the fabulous Fraser Coast in QLD. Our company is a prominent carrier into the Wide Bay region, having been established since 1935.

We currently have a full-time job available for a Road Transport Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic based in our Maryborough Workshop.

We encourage both qualified mechanics and apprentices with a minimum of 2 years experience to apply. 

Working Monday to Friday, on rotating shifts. Duties include; Maintaining and repairing all vehicles in the Richers Transport fleet, Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, Attend emergency call outs and breakdowns. 

Pay rate is based on 38 hours ordinary week. All additional hours, Saturday work and Call out hours are paid under an enterprise agreement.

Hourly pay rate will be determined by experience and discussed in full during the interview.

You will be required to be able to work under limited supervision within a team environment. Possess basic electronic/electrical skills - formal or otherwise. An ability to exercise good interpersonal and communication skills. Be able to understand and apply quality control measures. A licence to operate forklifts and heavy vehicles would be an advantage.
